gary-neaveAs a civil engineer, Gary has 30 years of experience in general management and business leadership; program and project management, and infrastructure planning, design and construction.

Gary is adept at influencing diverse stakeholder groups and multi-discipline teams to deliver outstanding outcomes. Gary has held significant business leadership/management roles across diverse industry sectors and delivered outstanding results by maintaining a strong focus on the development of cohesive teams and building a high performance culture.

Across consulting, construction and general contracting (including as GM of a medium size construction company), Gary has succeeded in roles in both public and private sectors. He is considered a specialist in tailoring methodology to address complex implementation challenges. He has carried responsibility for managing key stakeholder relationships in both urban and remote environments.

Gary’s most recent full time project roles were as Project Director for a $400m public water infrastructure project, and Deputy Project Manager for a $400m greenfield resources project both delivered on time, under budget and with zero LTIs.

Gary currently has part time roles as Uniting Communities Program Executive for the redevelopment of the Maughan Church, Pitt Street, site, and as a member of the project steering committee providing peer support for the leadership team at Sundrop Farms.
